Intro:

I was talking to a friend on video chat who was constantly distracted by ‘naughty cats’… it was like they were children “get down from there! What you doing that for?!”

Anyway, my potential idea for a solution hit me the next day…

Undesirable Cat Behaviour:

Thinking from all I learned from Jackson Galaxy… what would he normally say about hyperactivity and destructive behaviours? Then I remembered his shows… it’s usually when a cat is full of too much energy! He describes cats as”balloons”.

Then I asked myself, what are the times that a cat gets excess energy from?…

When family members come home, at meal times, and my personal opinion – when anyone is feeling any strong emotions…

She lives with Kids too…

Then I asked myself, what would “J.G.” Usually suggest… strict meal times, and a play time routine to create an “energy output”. I messaged her suggesting when her cats are “going crazy” to maybe play with them with toys until exhausted.

When she visited me, she later raised concerns about their eating… saying that they can be poorly after eating wet food, and ‘stinky stools’… i told her all about the raw meat diet and explained that a feral cat after hunting would eat nearly an entire mouse, bones, brain, fur, liver, stomach etc and all their health benefits and purposes. They would vomit out excess bone etc that they don’t need, pretty much like my previous article i wrote for my niece… I also highlighted that cats can have allergies to certain meats, like Salem is allergic to Rabbit… i bought 100% freeze-dried rabbit in a pouch, but a few hrs later he got the runs. I tested it again another day and got same result, so definitely a no-go. He eats pretty much anything else so he’s not missing out…

I gave her a pouch of my personally “approved” brand… Iams… their normal kibble is a reasonable meat quality, of course Salem mostly being indoor, he has diet kibble to stop him getting chunky LOL! So admittedly half his kibble is more of the cheap bulking kind of stuff. The wet food never contains cassia gum or extra sugars when I’ve read the label – so it’s affordable and decent. So the pouch I gave her was Chicken and Turkey in gravy… so I’ll wait to hear back whether her cats were ok with that.

I’ll just highlight though, meat from ‘derivatives’ I don’t believe is a bad thing, because cats would eat bone marrow, through to all organs and flesh anyway…

So will see in the near future if she makes any discoveries…
